Die wichtigsten FAQs rund um professionelle Businessfotos

Was soll ich bei einem Businessfotoshooting anziehen? Outfit & Styling.

Ich empfehle meinen Kunden Kleidung, die einerseits der Branche entspricht, andererseits aber auch einen persönlichen Touch und damit Authentizität mitbringt.
In Unternehmen mit flachen Hierarchien können durchaus einfarbige Oberteile z.B. Pullover mit einer schicken Hose oder Rock kombiniert werden.
In sehr hierarchisch geprägten Unternehmen empfehlen sich Blazer oder Anzüge kombiniert mit Blusen und Hemden. Krawatten sind sehr formell und haben etwas Steifes, werden aber in manchen Unternehmen trotzdem, oder vielleicht gerade deswegen, erwartet
Hemden und Blusen sollten unbedingt vorher gebügelt werden!

Welche Farben und Muster soll ich für Businessfotos tragen?

Am besten einfarbige, relativ neutrale Farben. Um unerwünschte Moiré-Effekte zu vermeiden, empfehle ich keine Kleidung mit kleinteiligen Mustern.
Kleidung mit Branding, großen Motiven oder Slogans sind ebenfalls zu vermeiden!

Brauche ich mehrere Outfits?

Zwei Looks sind zu empfehlen, eines etwas förmlicher, das andere eher legerer. Das hat auch den Vorteil, dass man am Fotoshootingtag mögliche Kleidungs-Doppelungen mit KollegInnen umgehen kann.

Welches Make-up und Haare?

Um Glanz zu vermeiden empfiehlt sich Puder aufzutragen. Bei Businessfotoshootings in Unternehmen empfehle ich grundsätzlich eine Visagistin.
Wer vorhat sich die Haare kurz nach dem Shooting zu schneiden, sollte das besser vorab tun. Sonst sind die Businessfotos gleich nach dem Shooting veraltet. Wer z.B. von langen Haaren auf einen Kurzhaarschnitt umsteigt, geht idealerweise vor dem Businessfotoshooting zum Friseur.

Wie lange dauert ein professionelles Businessfotoshooting?

Wird das ganze Team in einem Unternehmen fotografiert, rechne ich mit 15-20 Minuten pro Shooting. Ein Einzelshooting kann aber auch bis zu einer Stunde dauern. Nach jedem Shooting wähle ich zusammen mit der portraitierten Person die Lieblingsbilder aus, die anschließend bearbeitet und retuschiert werden und einen passenden Look bekommen. Der Look wird vorab in einem Briefinggespräch mit dem Unternehmen abgesprochen.

Wann sind die Bilder fertig und was ist mit den Bildrechten?

Die professionellen Businessfotos werden 1-2 Tage nach dem Shooting komplett bearbeitet online in einer Bildergalerie zur Verfügung gestellt.
In der Regel erhält man uneingeschränkte Nutzungsrechte für Social Media (LinkedIn, Xing etc.), Web und Print.

What should I wear for a business photo shoot? Outfit & styling.

I recommend that my clients wear clothing that is appropriate for their industry, but also has a personal touch and authenticity. In companies with flat hierarchies, plain tops, such as sweaters, can be combined with smart pants or skirts. In very hierarchical companies, blazers or suits combined with blouses and shirts are recommended. Ties are very formal and have a somewhat stiff feel. Shirts and blouses should definitely be ironed beforehand.

What colors and patterns should I wear for business photos?

Preferably solid, relatively neutral colors. To avoid unwanted moiré effects, I do not recommend clothing with small patterns. Clothing with branding, large motifs, or slogans should also be avoided!

Do I need multiple outfits?

Two looks are recommended, one slightly more formal, the other more casual. This also has the advantage of avoiding possible clothing duplications with colleagues on the day of the photo shoot.

What about makeup and hair?

To avoid shine, we recommend applying powder. For business photo shoots in companies, we generally recommend a makeup artist. If you plan to cut your hair shortly after the shoot, it is better to do so in advance. Otherwise, the business photos will be out of date immediately after the shoot. For example, if you are switching from long hair to a short haircut, it is best to go to the hairdresser before the business photo shoot. 

How long does a professional business photo shoot take?

If the entire team in a company is being photographed, I estimate 15-20 minutes per shoot. However, an individual shoot can also take up to an hour. After each shoot, I select the favorite pictures together with the person portrayed, which are then edited and retouched to achieve a suitable look. The look is discussed in advance in a briefing meeting with the company.

When will the pictures be ready and what about the image rights?

The professional business photos will be fully edited and made available online in an image gallery 1-2 days after the shoot. As a rule, you will receive unlimited usage rights for social media (LinkedIn, Xing, etc.), web, and print.
